As I grew up in the 1970s in Warrandyte on Yarra River my mum and grandmother and aunties all crafted, spinning, knitting, ceramics, crochet, painting, drawing, gardening and cooking. I learnt at their knees by watching and being taught gently and calmly. The workshops I run are done in this same vain, teaching you skills that connect you with your ancestors.
