Leaves falling

The leaves have been tumbling
It's winter
Raining
Wet
Plants growing
Dragon purple planting with little helpers
Pilbara beauty
Dye pot bubbling

The sound of dragon wings

My little boy has just turned 9 and all he wanted for his birthday was a DRAGON!

Easier said than done. A quick crash course on needle felting via YouTube and a pile of Bilby Yarns sliver and a trip to the Pilbara (not much to do at night) and Glow Horn Dragon is born.

Sound of a felt slipper on the carpet

its getting cold, my old ugg boots have disintegrated
my feet are cold and my hand knitted socks have got holely soles beyond darning

our local ugg boot making company has gone bust in the face of chinese imports
and the US vs Oz patent battle lost
so in the face of that I've begun making my own
using local natural coloured wool sliver from Bilby Yarns

wet felted at home
stitched
appliquéd
sole still to come
another boot to make as I have two feet ...

but it is very snugg

Faerie wind

Faerie dust on the wind blowing through my thoughts

Been busily stitching faerie dresses and wings for daughters and nieces ... One autumn, one spring - all dyed using fallen flowers and leaves from the garden.

sound of the rain on the roof

It's raining and the sound is loud on the roof. Changed States for a little while and the climatic change has been a little abrupt.

Can't wait to get the dye pot going. I'm currently stitching a cut up 'dog blanket' And a stitching a repurposed woolen jumper as a scarf ...

sound of the wind blowing or dalagooroo (a Noongar word from the south-western Australia)

its a music day today and all weekend and the wind is definitely blowing; how luck are we

last night on the Indian Ocean was beautiful as I watched my son sail back home the sound of the wind blowing indeed

the latest completed hand sewn project - faerie dress and wings. all dyed using flowers and leaves from the garden all blown to the ground by the wind.
