Sound of a felt slipper on the carpet

its getting cold, my old ugg boots have disintegrated 

my feet are cold and my hand knitted socks have got holely soles beyond darning

our local ugg boot making company has gone bust in the face of chinese imports 

and the US vs Oz patent battle lost

so in the face of that I've begun making my own

inspired by Slow Shoes for Women

shyrdak rugs

using local natural coloured wool sliver from Bilby Yarns

wet felted at home

stitched

appliquéd

sole still to come

another boot to make as I have two feet ...

but it is very snugg

Faerie dust on the wind blowing through my thoughts

Been busily stitching faerie dresses and wings for daughters and nieces ... One autumn, one spring - all dyed using fallen flowers and leaves from the garden.
